MountResilience, LAND4CLIMATE, ARCADIA, NBRACER, DesirMED, CARDIMED, and NATALIE are seven flagship European projects funded by the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change.
These projects are working at the forefront of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) implementation across various biogeographical contexts.
Together, they form the informal NBS4EU Network, united by the shared goal of strengthening the role of NBS in fostering climate resilience and systemic transformation throughout Europe, in alignment with the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change goals.
While Nature-Based Solutions are increasingly recognised as effective tools for addressing climate and environmental challenges, the concept remains broad and often inconsistently interpreted. Clarifying what NBS truly entails and how it can be effectively implemented is critical for advancing its impact and fostering collaboration across regions and sectors.
This introductory webinar will launch the NBS4EU Webinar Series, serving both as a kick-off to the upcoming sessions and a platform to align understanding of NBS concepts and practicalities. It will provide space for experience sharing, critical reflection, and networking among the seven participating projects and the wider community of stakeholders working on nature-based approaches.
